Employee Code of Conduct

Rock Solid Remodeling desires to provide our customers with excellence in materials and products, in work projects, and especially employees. That is why we hold our employees to higher standards. Our customers can rest assure that any worker arriving at their home bears the high standard attached to the Rock Solid name.

  • Employees are required to show up to the job site on time and ready to work.
  • Acceptable clothing is as follows: solid color shirts, sweatshirts, or jackets; solid color shorts or pants; anything bearing the Rock Solid Remodeling logo. All clothes are expected to be free of tears or holes in them bigger than a quarter. All shoes must have laces and have sufficient tread for safety.
  • Employees must clock out for lunch every day and may not clock back in until completely ready to return to work.
  • Employees are expected to keep proper hygiene and show up to work looking and acting professionally.
  • Employees MAY NOT use company resources for personal use without the express consent of Andrew Morstatter.
  • If you need supplies you must call Andrew Morstatter. Trips to the store must be approved by him first, unauthorized purchases will NOT be reimbursed.
  • If one must smoke, it MUST be done off of the customers property entirely. Smoke breaks are to be limited to 4 each day, a maximum of 5 minutes each. Smoke breaks are unpaid; you must clock out and clock back in at the end of the smoke break. If you wish to have more, take them on your lunch break.
  • Employees are to limit cell phone use to business and emergencies only.
  • Employees are to watch their language and respect customers and authority figures at all times while on the job.
  • Requests for time off must be received at least 1 week in advance to guarantee the time off.
  • When sick, you must call Andrew Morstatter and let him know personally or it will be considered a no call, no show.
  • If you are going to be late or have to leave early you will have to get permission directly from Andrew Morstatter
  • The standard work day is 8:00am to 4:30pm unless previously authorized by Andrew Morstatter. A mandatory lunch break of 30 minutes will be taken each day.
  • Days Off: Time off for vacation must be approved two weeks in advance.
  • Excused Absences: If are going to miss work for any reason you must call 12 hours in advance.
  • Sick Day: If you will miss work due to sickness, or the sickness of a family member, you must call three hours in advance. After three sick days in a 30 day period, an official doctor's note must be given for each additional sick day within that 30 day period.
  • Unexcused Absences: If you miss work for any reason (other than sickness) and do not call at least 12 hours in advance, this will be considered an unexcused absence. More than one excused absence in a pay period will result in a 20% pay cut for that particular pay period.
  • Emergencies: If you have a transportation emergency you must call as soon as possible. You are expected to arrive at work (or back to work, in the event of a mid day transportation emergency) as soon as possible. If you have any other kind of emergency (at any time during the work day) in which you must leave work immediately, you must call as soon as possible. More than three emergencies (without a doctor's note) in a 30 day period will result in a 20% pay cut for that pay period.
  • No Call No Show: The first time you do not arrive at work within thirty minutes of the beginning of the work day and do not call in advance it will be considered a no call no show and a 30% pay cut for that particular pay period will occur. The second time you do not arrive at work within thirty minutes of the beginning of the work day and do not call in advance you will be dismissed from employment immediately and receive a 30% pay cut from your final pay check.
  • Late Policy: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for any scheduled day of work more than 3 times in a 30 day period it will result in a 20% pay cut on the check directly following the 3rd offense.
  • *Text messages are not an accepted form of communication. A personal phone call must be received, at any time day or night, to report an absence for any reason, including emergencies, or it will be considered a 'no show'. A dead/uncharged cell phone is not an acceptable excuse for not calling within the acceptable time. All absences, sick days, holidays, and vacation days are unpaid.
  • Missing more than an average of ten hours of unexcused time per week for more than 3 weeks straight will result in a permanent 10% pay cut.
