What's the difference?
Rock Solid Remodeling offers fiberglass, wood, and vinyl windows, and we are happy to sit down with you and discuss the pros and cons to each option so you can make an educated choice for your house. In short, here's the line up:
Fiberglass windows are paintable, energy efficient, and stonger than their peers. Fiberglass windows last longer and do not crack or peel. On the other hand, they can be pricey, comparably costing as much as wood windows.
Vinyl windows are the least expensive and most popular. They are durable, maintenace free, and typically offer the longest warranty. However, they are only paintable with specialized vinyl paint (which costs more than regular paint). They can also expand and contract in weather and are prone to fading and discoloring.
Wood windows are usually desired for their aesthetic appeal. On the 'nicer' end of the window scale, they are the most expensive. Wood windows have to be painted and require maintenance.
